Our local Councillors have informed us that the Boundary Commission for England (BCE) is redrawing the national parliamentary constituency boundaries to rebalance the number of electors represented by each MP. This proposed change may affect us. This is not a government initiative. The Boundary Commission is an independent body that ensures parity between the number of electors in each area of the country. Some will be staying with their families, but there will be a need to provide homes or accommodation for those without local connections here. As residents, we are fortunate to have the beautiful Banstead Heath on our doorstep. I'm sure some residents and visitors will know its history, but many may not.
