Constituency Boundary Changes

Our local Councillors have informed us that the Boundary Commission for England (BCE) is redrawing the national parliamentary constituency boundaries to rebalance the number of electors represented by each MP. This proposed change may affect us. This is not a government initiative. The Boundary Commission is an independent body that ensures parity between the number of electors in each area of the country. Run the Rec: 5K Kingswood Recreation Ground

This is a free community event for adults, children and dogs to run, jog or walk 5K always starting at 9:00am, similar to Parkrun events. If you would like to be involved in the fun but not run, then we are looking for volunteers to help marshal, tail walker, and timekeeper. The goal is to setup a new regular Parkrun in the Kingswood Recreation Ground to use this great open green space to support wellbeing and sport services for our community. Ukrainian refugees

Local Information - Source Chris Grayling MP and Councillor Rachel Turner Firstly on the tragic situation in the Ukraine, following a meeting on Friday night, we have now formed a group locally to prepare for the arrival of Ukrainian refugees in the area. Some will be staying with their families, but there will be a need to provide homes or accommodation for those without local connections here. As residents, we are fortunate to have the beautiful Banstead Heath on our doorstep. I'm sure some residents and visitors will know its history, but many may not. In the Sixteenth Century, the area was part of the Nonsuch Estate and was the hunting grounds of King Henry VIII; in fact, the current Sportsman Public House was one of his hunting lodges.
