The Tadworth and Walton Residents Association, with who the LKRA work closely, are holding a Volunteers Fair on Saturday, 15th April 2023, at the St John's Church Hall, The Avenue Tadworth, between 1:30 pm and 3 pm. The Great British Spring Clean

A national initiative to keep the country tidy will happen between Friday, 17th March - 2nd April; I'm sure our local litter-picking group will continue their terrific efforts to keep our area litter free. To help with this, some LKRA members are meeting at 2 pm on Saturday 18th, March in the Recreation Ground car park to carry out a couple of hours of litter picking, so why not join them? Cllr Paul has responded to our article below to reassure residents that Surrey County Council isn't cutting services or outsourcing them. She has assured us that SCC will continue to respond to reported incidents as usual, and their core responsibilities will be carried out. Last year many residents and others raised questions and complaints regarding the cutting of our roadside verges and the central reservation on the A217. It now appears this maintenance will, in the future, be undertaken by Surrey County Council (Highways) and not Reigate and Banstead Council.
