This is a free community event for adults, children and dogs to run, jog or walk 5K always starting at 9:00am, similar to Parkrun events. If you would like to be involved in the fun but not run, then we are looking for volunteers to help marshal, tail walker, and timekeeper.
The goal is to setup a new regular Parkrun in the Kingswood Recreation Ground to use this great open green space to support wellbeing and sport services for our community. We are trying to raise money to help launch a Parkrun event and a target of £3,000.
For our first event in January 2020 we had great support from local residents & friends with nearly 100 people taking part and a warmup session prior to the event. Unfortunately these had to be put on hold due to covid and I’m pleased to say we were able to resume these in August 2021. The plan is to continue through 2022 and onwards and so we hope numbers will increase as the weather improves and people want to enjoy the outdoors as well as publicity through local sport groups.
We have collaborated with the 9th Reigate Scout group who offer refreshments, bag drop and facilities during the events in the scout hut on Buckland Road. Card payments available for refreshments.

Limited parking in surrounding roads, therefore we would request if you live near the recreational ground to walk to the event if possible or park in Stubbs Lane and walk through the woods to the recreation ground
