Father’s Day Run the Rec 5k

If you are thinking of what to do on Father's Day Sunday on 16-June, please come and join us for our Run The Rec 5k event @9.00am. What an amazing day with a hard-working team of local volunteers. The pond on the left-hand side of Mogoador Road, on the way to the Sportsman Pub, has been neglected for many years. 1994, that was the last time a group got together to give it some TLC. We stopped and spoke to this lovely lady who has lived in the village for years and asked to take a photo of her using the new bench we installed and kindly donated by our Acting Chair Lindsey Von Backstrom. Mayor's Wacky Races - Friday 24 November at the Town Hall The Mayor is holding a charity race night at the Town Hall on Friday 24 November.Famous cartoon characters will race each other with the throw of 3 dice. The first to cross the line wins. Each race will consist of an owner's contest. This is a free community event for adults, children and dogs to run, jog or walk 5K always starting at 9:00am, similar to Parkrun events.
